Europe has seen many improvements in GENDER EQUALITY in recent years. Topic is not a taboo even in some less developed democracies. However, lack of equality between women and men in politics and especially within high ranking public positions showed us that problem remained unresolved. According to one Council of Europe study, none of the 47 countries that agreed to implement gender-balanced recommendation managed to reach 40% of women in public and political positions. Therefore, questions like “Is there some silent discrimination of women within our societies?” and “What do we need in order to ensure their equal representation?” need to be answered.

We spoke about this with Nasiha Pozder, member of Federal parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina and International secretary of Naša Stranka.
